MTV Prepares Rocky Horror Remake.

GOOD. Never has a franchise needed kicked and stomped on more than this one. Never have I wanted to boil alive an entire audience like I do the Rocky Horror audience. Bunch of loud, stupid troglodytes in lingerie hollering the same tired old crap for the past 33 fuckin' years. It is not brilliant, the songs are not good, and several thousand jerks need to find something better to do with their weekends and midnights.

I will personally exult in the tortured "NOOOOOO!"s and "This can't be happening!"s being shouted by the thousands around the world who didn't want it to be. Hollywood's been eating it's own tail for the past decade. This was almost overdue. As far as I'm concerned, this is a bite of sweet cherry cheesecake after the asswater that was the Watchmen trailer.

it's a really dumb movie that's only bearable when you can't really hear the lines and get to look at cute people dressed up in small amounts of clothing.

"As a member of a Rocky Horror cast, and it being the closest thing I have to religion (go to the same place multiple times a week, stand up sit down say the same things hear the same things see the same things) this is pure blasphemy. It's desecration of an American classic, and Lou Adler must be stopped."

"Normally "don't care" if films re-made as new interpretations reach different audiences. BUT how can you improve on near perfection??? Can't see the point in this case."

Hey look, you and I wholeheartedly agree on something.

Except one thing: I think most... well, okay, I think that some Rocky Horror fans already know how bad the songs are, but they look at them as being a "so bad they're good" sort of thing. But really they're just fucking awful and unbearable.
